Oh yeah. I forgot about Dells. XD;; Unless Gateway = Dell? Nah, I'm probably just being silly. Either way, wow. -Litterally- burst into flames? What a sight that would be. ^ ^U I'm glad I've never gotten that unlucky with an electronic device... Yet, anyway. Well, I suppose we'll be seeing you less until you find a replacement. Good luck with that.

One that doesn't explode into flames and burns down your house would be good. See you when you have a replacement, Max.

Ok so I got my new computer and it's sweet BUT it's not compadable with my wireless router. So now I have 2 options I can either down grade my windows to make it compadable, or I can get my own service and pay the difference in the phone bill for activating an old phone line and for the internet of course. So, what do you think? Oh and does anyone know what a comcast phone line and high speed internet would be per month?

Comcast is $50/month. I just asked my dad 'cause that's what we have. It's not very reliable though. You keep having to reset it. I swear. I reset it every day. It's lousy for how much money we pay for it. : \

Max, is it because you're running Windows Vista? Operating systems don't have much to do with router compatibility. I suggest you look into a new wireless card for the computer, rather than consider a entirely separate internet service for your computer alone. Or at least, I suggest a different router.
If you are using Windows Vista, then I suggest downgrading to Windows XP. Vista is absolutely terrible in unforgivable ways, like not being able to run 16 bit processes.

No I have media center and the router only works with 2000 or XP.

No I have media center and the router only works with 2000 or XP. I still suggest a new router. You should definitely not pay another monthly fee for a separate internet connection.

screw it downgrade... seriously it's not worth it, at least not for another year or two when they start to phase out XP
